The Thumbscrews

The Thumbscrews were a regional post-punk band based in the Atlanta-metro area. Influenced by a wide array of bands including Agent Orange and Idles, the Thumbscrews put on high-energy performances with a socio-political tinge. Standing against gentrification and toxic masculinity, the members were "Sunny" Tom (guitar + vocals), Dominick (drums), Aidan (guitar + vocals), and Andrew (bass).
In late 2019, Andrew left the band, leading the remaining members to search for a new bassist. They settled on Aidan's friend Brett. In early 2020, the band decided on a name-change. God Shaped Hole is the new project, playing songs old and new. They anticipate to release an EP and do a local metro-area run of shows this year. |
